Colla Voce Chamber Singers

Event
A Celtic Christmas
Description:  "Colla Voce offers a collaborative concert experience featuring a beautiful mix of Celtic songs including traditional Christmas pieces arranged by Michael McGlynn, composer and conductor for Ireland's National Choir, Anúna. For this concert experience Colla Voce will collaborate with several special guests including musical group, Anam Cara (Gaelic for 'Soul Friend') which will share dynamic traditional tunes on traditional instruments; Damhsa Draiochta (which means 'Magic Dance'), an award-winning Auburn-based duo of Irish dancers and sisters, Anja and Mila Rice; and Joni Orban of Crystal Blue Meditation, who will bring a meditative tone to the evening with her Tibetan Singing Bowls. Audiences will enjoy sublime arrangements of 'Lo, How a Rose,' 'Coventry Carol' and 'Wexford Carol'; energetic pieces with the Irish Dancers; and favorites such as the humorous 'Miss Fogarty's Christmas Cake and the Legendary Fairytale of New York.' As always, this beloved holiday concert experience will take listeners on a journey through an array of emotions with the hope of a transformative experience for all."  Special guests:  the Colla Voce Children's Chorus (12/9 and 12/10 afternoon performances only)
